SET4Nepal — sustainable electric transport
Bilingual site and CMS for a national programme moving Nepal's public transport to electric buses, digital ticketing and a charging network.
Background
SET4Nepal (Sustainable Electric Transport for Nepal) is a national programme backed by GIZ and the Global Green Growth Institute, working with the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to move public transport to electric buses, digital ticketing and a nationwide charging network.
The programme had no web presence. Ottr designed and built one. I built the CMS it runs on.
The problem
The audience runs from daily commuters and fleet operators to charging-station investors, government officials and international climate funders. The site had to work fully in English and Nepali, with each language speaking to its own readers, and the team had to publish documents, news and programme packages themselves.
Approach
- Strapi content model for documents, news, partner associations, stakeholders, EMB support packages, transport units and QR codes.
- Every content type localised through Strapi i18n; the Next.js site renders English and Nepali routes with next-intl and Nepali numerals.
- Media on S3, so large programme documents and imagery do not live on the app server.
Outcome
- Live at set4nepal.org in English and Nepali, maintained by the programme team.
